The event was held in Vashi and was conducted by the Sunshine Autistic school, Vashi.
The children participated in drawing and painting competition where they painted on the topic of ‘Independence day’. Most of them made imaginary drawing while others gave their best to paint. Some of them participated in solo song competition and sang patriotic songs. A group activity by older children was staged where they attempted to convey message on freedom in their own language.
Rashmi Rangnekar, the occupational therapist and coordinator shared, “We always bring them in the forefront with an attempt to build their confidence, to remove fear of public gathering, which is the most challenging for these special kids. The group activity always helps them develop their gross motor skill.” Best performances were acclaimed by the guests and awarded as well.
